Background Information
Manufactured home parks, and the installation of manufactured homes anywhere in Ohio, are regulated under the authority of Chapter 4781 of the Ohio Revised Code (ORC). “Manufactured home park” means any tract of land upon which three or more manufactured homes used for habitation are parked. Manufactured home parks are subject to the rules for construction, drainage, flood plain management, sanitation, safety and operation as specified in Chapter 4781 of the Ohio Administrative Code(OAC).
Licenses for Manufactured Home Parks
Manufactured Home Parks are now licensed by the Ohio Manufactured Homes Commission. Complaints regarding manufactured homes may be responded to either by the Ohio Manufactured Homes Commission or the Allen County Health department, depending on the nature of the complaint.
